Group A (age 7 – 9) Pre-competitive

Group B (age 10 – 12) Junior

Group C (age 13 – 15) Teen

Group D (age 16 – 18) Pre-professional 

Professional Participants (age 20 - 25)

Pas de Deux / Duet

Must be girl and boy.

Classical Pas De Deux (full pas - extra points)

Duet Free dance ​

Time limit for Pas de Deux - 10m

Choreographer Contest

Any choreography can be performed by any dancer (participant or not) and in any dance style.

The new choreography should be created no later than 2020.

The contestant can be age 10 and up.

Time limit - 2m

Dance Categories

Must be between the ages of 7 to 25 on March 1st, 2024.

Girls and Boys will be evaluated separate in each Age & Dance category.

RULES

The Jewels Festival will run the competition by groups.
A professional photographer will work on the competition.

The audience (parents as well) is allowed into the theatre only with a ticket.

The ticket price at the theatre is $20 dollars per person for two days.

The ticket price online is $15 dollars for two days. Link on our “Venue & Tickets” page.

Audience parents are not allowed to watch master classes or rehearsals on stage.

Parents are not allowed backstage, only volunteers.

Pictures and videos are prohibited during the competition stage

A professional photographer will work on the competition. You can order a Media package at any time from our website.

Pictures and videos are prohibited during the competition at the theater. Any party caught, points will be deducted from the percipients final score.

The audience (parents as well) is allowed into the theatre only with a ticket. The ticket price at the theatre is $20 dollars per person for all days. Cash only.

Prices

*Registration fee - $100 (All Masterclasses Included!)

Participant's must pay the appropriate fee with the application or it will not be processed.

(if a dancer already registered for a solo or another dance, then no second registration fee will apply!)

The participant needs to fill out the Registration Form AND Entry Information form for their chosen categories. Classical solo, contemporary solo and freestyle all have separate forms.

Ensemble registration needs to be done by the school director, using the same structure.

Soloists who will be performing in 2 classical and 1 contemporary or free style dance category are qualified for the Diamond Award (cash prize).

Soloist

Solo Dance – $90 (each classical, contemporary, or free dance solo)

Pas de Deux / Duet

Pas des Deux - $180 per couple per dance (classical pas de deux)

Duet Free dance - $140 per couple (adagio, duet)

Ensemble

Groups of 2 – $50

of 3 to 4 – $45

of 5 – 6 – $40

of 7 and up – $35

Choreographer Contest

Participation fee per each dance - $50

Master Classes

Master Classes are included in the registration fee. If you wish to pay later for Master classes, the price will be $40 per each class .

We will hold up to 10 Classes during the festival. Mater Classes will be lead and observe by our Judges on Friday and Sunday.

We will hold Master Classes of Ballet, Character Dance, Contemporary and Break Dance.

If some of the participant would like to attend a PRIVATE CLASS with one of our judges, please fill the separate form. The Private Classes with our judges are holding on Friday by request only.

PICTURES/VIDEO

ALL PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ARE PROHIBIDED DURING THE COMPETITION!

Only authorized photographer/videographer are allowed to video and pictures at the Jewels Festival.

Media Package

For Soloists Performers Only Pay $100 and receive pictures and videos of ALL of your solo dances!

For Ensemble (Schools) Performers Only Pay $100 and receive pictures and videos of ALL of your ensemble school dances, including Pas de Deux!

We will not selling individual photo and video, only a Media package will be selling at any time

Goals

Throughout the competition the jury will evaluate a candidate’s potential as a dancer by considering, 10 points each aspect:

o Artistry

o Musicality

o Ballet school education & Physical suitability

o Technique, control, & coordination

Awarded to the dancer who captured all of the judges’ hearts, performed beautifully on stage and showed great grace & friendship to their competition - $500 & Crystal Award

Diamond Award

in each age category: Solo B, C, D, Pas de Deux/Duet, Ensemble - $200 & Crystal Award

(For soloists required 2 classical + 1 any other style dance - For Duet required 2 (or more) dances)

Awards evaluating by score

Crystal Award 1st, 2nd, 3rd place (in each age and dance category by total score)

Medal Award Top 5 dancers (in each age and dance category)

Diploma Award Top 12 dancers (in each age and dance category

Scholarships for summer programs 2022 will be presented by ballet schools.

Registration Process:

All participants need to be registered by March 20th , 2024.

Late fee of $15 will be applied for registration after the due date.

As soon as we receive your registration form, we will send you an email confirmation and PayPal invoice,

which you can pay by any of the above accepted methods.

All fees must be paid upon receiving invoice. All registration forms without payment are not valid.
