Yuval Cohen –Soloist

Yuval Cohen, from Jerusalem, Israel, began dancing at age six with the Mehola Dance Company, focusing on folk and modern dance. He later studied ballet and in 2017 received an excellence scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, joining the Jerusalem Ballet School under Nadya Timofeyeva.
In 2018, Yuval won First Place at Russia’s prestigious The Nutcracker International Ballet Competition and was invited to study at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg. After graduating in 2021, he joined the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow before becoming a member of Philadelphia Ballet II for the 2021/2022 season.
Yuval has performed leading roles including Ali in Le Corsaire, Siegfried in Swan Lake, the Prince in Snow White, and Gold in The Sleeping Beauty. In 2023, he received the Bronze Medal at the Jackson International Ballet Competition, becoming the first Israeli dancer to reach the final and medal.
